What we do

There are different TYPES of ACUPUNCTURE available at the clinic. When we find out a little more about you, we select the most appropriate type, or types, of acupuncture for your treatment. Here are the types of acupuncture used daily in the clinic:

We also include cupping therapy, moxibustion, and heat lamp in treatments where indicated.

I started going to Helen at AcuGlow for acupuncture a few months ago. I went because my counsellor recommended it as a parallel treatment for anxiety and it has helped immensely. I feel the immediate calming benefit after I leave the session and for weeks later, my sleep and anxiety are more under control. I attended several sessions of treatment in Acuglow over the last few weeks. My hair was falling out, I had a scar that wasn't healing, and I wasn't feeling very well. I had been treated by Helen before, so I had great faith in her skills. My hair is growing back, lots of new growth, and the scar is healing. I'm feeling much better. The hygiene standards were always high, and extra precautions are in place, like the air purifier.

I’ve attended Helen’s Acupuncture Clinic for help with a variety of complaints from chronic pain due to osteoarthritis and sciatica. I find the treatments very helpful. Helen has also treated me for stress, insomnia and gastric issues successfully. I find Helen’s treatments extremely relaxing and look forward to resting while the needles do their work. In fact, I begin to relax as soon as I lie on the bench because my body knows what will follow. Helen is thoughtful, attentive and professional throughout my sessions and I leave each time rested and feeling better. Hello, my name is Helen Falvey, acupuncturist, and owner of AcuGlow Acupuncture Clinic.

My goal with my work is to help as many people as possible live their lives in the best health they can, free of pain, happier, sleeping better, and even preserving their eyesight into the future.

I chose acupuncture as a career because it helped me so much when I really needed it when I was younger. I completed my initial acupuncture training over 3 years at The Acupuncture Foundation in Dublin, and have completed many extra training courses in the 7+ years that I have been in business to ensure the best results and care possible for my clients.
