Before acupuncture:
- Do not skip a meal or arrive to your appointment hungry
- Give yourself plenty of time to get to your appointment on time so you are not rushing, and do call or text if you are running late
- Wear, or bring along, loose comfortable clothing for the treatment
- Avoid caffeine just before your appointment
During your appointment:
- Put your phone on silent or airplane mode and put it away
After acupuncture:
- Stay well hydrated
- Take a short rest or an early night if needed
- Eat nourishing food
- Wait until the next day for high intensity exercise
- Review dietary or exercise recommendations
